Prior to owning our home business, Michael and I owned a small chain of auto dealerships. Michael was working over 80 hours a week trying to keep the businesses open and I was a stay-at-home mom. Because of the enormous pressure from our car dealerships, I was forced to bring my daughter with me in the afternoons to one of the dealerships while I did paperwork. After almost eight years in that industry, we were forced into corporate bankruptcy.

After we filed corporate bankruptcy, Michael took a job that he hated and worked over 70 hours per week just to keep our heads above water. We felt like our dreams of making money and freedom were shattered for good.

Then, thanks to my father, our hopes were again set high. In January 1999, my dad introduced us to a mail order and e-commerce business that changed our lives dramatically, and quickly. The first thought that crossed my mind was "I can't sell and I'm not good at talking to people." My next thought was how inexperienced Michael and I were with technology, and I figured that we would be spending most of our time learning before we could even get started.

We quickly realized an exciting aspect of this business--the system is set up so that ANYONE can follow it, learn it and begin making money immediately. We were trained by the most experienced people in this industry; our first month we brought in $1,200. By our fifth month as home business owners, our income had increased to over $5,500 per month. Now, 24 months later, our income has reached over $30,000 per month, and is still climbing.
