In the summer of 2000, we were fortunate to be able to sell our city home in Toronto and realize a life-long dream of moving to the cottage district of Ontario. Being a financial planner, much of my business could be maintained through the computer and Internet and was perfectly suited to my new living arrangements. However, we needed to find something locally for Darrell so we could maintain our lifestyle as six figure income earners.

It didn't take long for us to become discouraged. In no time, we were faced with a tough decision. Either Darrell had to commute to Toronto during the week while I stayed at our new home on my own, or give up our dream and both return to the city! It was during that difficult time that Darrell spotted a work from home ad in our local weekly newspaper and brought it to me to look over because he felt I was the "computer expert" in our household. Initially, I was extremely skeptical about the business as I had previously been introduced to an opportunity and I was required to be gone from home nights and weekends; I had no desire to do that again. Besides, living in the country as we do, I felt it would be next to impossible to build a business.

I decided to follow up completely before prejudging this opportunity, and it was in talking with the man who eventually became our coach, that my eyes were opened to an opportunity to build a business with the capability to exceed even our best income earning years in the city. To top it off, our location had absolutely nothing to do with our personal potential for success. I was impressed with the position of this company within major trends developing in North America: health and nutrition, as well as the Internet and mail order. From a business perspective, I realized almost immediately the "ground floor" opportunity we had in front of us with this well-established company.

We listened and followed the step by step directions laid out by our coach and our dedication paid off. Within five months we were earning an average of $4,000 per month and had built a very large and strong business within Canada! I have been able to leave my former career within nine months working from home! We are so thrilled with our ability to spend our days in our dream location, and feel terrifically excited about our plans to work this winter in a sunny southern climate--a dream we thought we had to wait for our retirement days to put in place!
