I started the business very part-time in July, 2000 after answering an ad in my Sunday paper. I was looking for a 'way out' of a full-time job, at a local non-profit agency. I loved the work and the people but it just wasn't paying the bills. After having been back to work for 3 years, I felt like I was missing out on some incredibly important times with my family - husband of 23 years and 3 teen-aged children. Basically, I felt like I wasn't doing anything particularly well.
